We are coming down from a long weekend. The kids had no school on Friday or Monday, so there was lots of play to be had here :)
I started work on a custom job for a client. She wants an invitation for a more "fancy" baby shower. The colors are baby blue & brown, with a mix of traditional and modern elements. Here's a sneak peak of one of the options I worked on:
{the right side is the back to the invite. It's on my to-do list to start offering more of these in my shop - I really think the added element adds so much to the look}
We have family up in Madison, Wisconsin who just had a baby in November, and finally made the trip up there to see her (and her sister who was visiting from Florida).
{Life with two boys, tends to lead to a lot of trucks!}
Last year we decided to try to take one short trip each month to a new city, so we used this trip as January's and squeezed in a little exploring as well:
{because rockcandy after exploring a cave is a MUST}
Spent some much needed time with cousins:
...and, of course, hit up the indoor pool :)
...Something you appreciate in weather like this:
Jason and I brought home a little souvenir of different local beers (because, can you really go wrong with a name like fat squirrel???)
Back home it was business as usual - the cats tore into our bag of dirty clothes as soon as we got home.
Maybe the missed us? ha!
We also bought a few accessories to start fixing up the kitchen a bit. I'm really trying to stick to my resolution and focus on the smaller details, one by one.
So that was our weekend in a nutshell - how was yours?
xo,
Rachel
